For so many years the world has been driven by who is more powerful than the others and so decisions made in their favour.This is clearly evident in the various wars there has been and still is in the world.I think we have had enough of that and it is time to care and HEAL THE WORLD like Micheal Jackson put it clear in one of his songs. lets strive to make a better world for everyone by looking at the COP15 as an oppotunity to off set a great begining for a climate just agreement.

I want the World leaders to know that it is not about them but about the people that they represent.Think about that person whose voice can never be heard even among 2people that is the person you should talk for.Intresting if that was done because regardless of the level of development in the various countries there is a percentage of people suffering because of climate change effects.”If you can not do it for your Country or the World atleast do it for that one person u know is suffering.” let us all sing climate justice and see how beautiful it will be to life with out having to see photos of people suffering you are tried of seeing.

The responsible pay your climate debt and stop doing what caused this nitemare,the affected struggle to live on.to the World out there do not do what would hurt you if some other person did it.Keeping in mind that time is coming when economical and political power will not matter if nothing is done now to save the World’s Climate! NOW IS THE TIME says The Climate Debt Agents.

Many discussions are taking place all over the world about effects of climate change,as we do that lets keep in mind the innocent children who do not know what is happening and the most helpless are the most vulnerable to this monster.It is so ironical in the picture below those children playing in those floods are very happy as you can see.

But what of the water born diseases they are bond to aquire after that wonderful moment,of course that comes with medical costs their parents have to foot,coupled with limited reasources something is foregone may be food and that leaves the other children straving including the sick one,creating another problem of hunger which may eventually lead to death. so let us remember that one problem solved does us really good. think of the children and do what you would think best for that little child you love so much because they are not different from the ones in Europe,Africa,Asia they are all wonderful children who desreve better.WE CAN MAKE THOSE GOOD DECISSION AT COP15.

REASON TO STAY AWAKE FOR 24HOURS!!

Ever been awake 24hours and had no regrets?As we still focus on climate Justice much is being done to achieve this vision.It may not happen today but it will do so tomorrow but the action MUST start today and now.i and my colleagues in the Global Change class made a decision to be CLIMATE DEBT AGENTS after the 24hour camp that was a milestone in our journey to Climate Justice .Climate change is is no longer a National issue to be dealt with by individual governments but a Global concern that calls for Global efforts.

During the 24hours camp we were in four working groups in preparation for our fieldwork in Kenya and in Denmark and the eventual campaign that was sub divided in online and offline campaign workshops. All these efforts are directed to have Denmark pay it’s Climate Debt of 6billion as the an example for the rest of the European Nations and there other stakeholders.

Since the Climate change is a Global problem then it calls for a global solution and that means that everyone has got a role to play from the various governments to all the individuals in the entire world.There is no other better time than now to make a change and save the world if not for me and you at least our future CHILDREN and the generations to come.KEEP AWAKE SAVE THE WORLD!!

HOPE FOR CLIMATE JUSTICE

It all started on 7 September 2009, the day we met for the first time as the Global Change Class at the MS Plataform.31 different people from different backgrounds, origins from five African countries: Uganda where I come from,Tanzania,Kenya,Zambia and Zimbabwe plus Denmark hoping to be together for then next four months but at least I knew we shared one thing that IS the fact that we are advocating for CLIMATE JUSTICE CLASS…………………………………………………….
The first week first week was so exiting with all the introductions made our teachers seemed so exited that they did not waste any time but started to teach us so many things! The most noticeable for me was the new media and social change are interlinked and of course what I have been introduced to BLOGGING.
Is not as easy as I thought! And then I discovered I had a mentor like everyone else in class. To me, my dear Mentor Laura is an inspiration to me. I hope not to let her down, nor my trainers Rune, Bjorn and Malte.
The course has been characterized by very inspirational lectures. This allows me to share experiences with Skype (lectured by Yonkin Backmark from Sweden that facilitated me to make an informed and quick decisions with the whole the class). Yonkin gave us the insight of the climate debt issue and the various keep players in the COP15 summit and how we could play a role to effect the change that we want.
The Climate Debt or the Ecological Debt lecture, by Patrick Bond, is based on the fact that for so many years the highly industrialized countries have for a long time emitted high levels of carbon dioxide an this has had an effect on the atmosphere causing global warming. Thus, climate change is causing a lot of suffering to so many people in a lot of parts of the world like drought, floods famine and as result high death rates. The irony is that the causers of this phenomenon are not actually getting the negative effects they’re causing, and they have the capacity to adopt measures make things better, unlike developing countries. It is therefore on this bases that the high industrialized countries have got to pay for a climate debt.
Therefore, one of our main goals during the campaign that we shall be conducting in December this year is to make clear that these nations should play their part. And that is also our main focus in what it comes to the European Union, specifically Denmark being the host of the COP15. We believe they should be exemplary and play the leading role to have a good deal.
As a result of the various lectures we have had we are continuously working on our campaign and how to make it a success. We are already engaged in various climate activities within similar ambitions as we have for the tcktcktck campaign happening in many parts of the world. Here in Denmark, the action has been very colorful with MR.GREEN taking the lead

As we draw closer to the COP15 we in the global change class are striving so had to plan a campaign that we believe will create a change.online campaingning i s one of the tools we are going to use to mobilise and consolidate people to join us in our cause.

why online campaigning?it is easy,first to reach a large audiance and also net working a good example of this is facebook,twitter and many others.further more online campigning facilitate the offline campaigning. Am sure this will surelly work during our feild work in Denmark. The challenge is,” what would be the best alternative for the other areas where the internet is not accessble. then what happens?” OR In areas where the technology is not advanced.

i ask such questions because i believe that what ever i am doing in Denmark right now i will have to use back in Uganda to create a change that i would like to see.I believe so because the climate change promble is global and therefore the solution should be global. Every single nation in the world has got a role to play and that is what i would like to do when i get back to THE PEARL OF AFRICA UGANDA.

I therefore cal upon everyone out there to take it upon them selves to play a role in this,and it can be done at individual level,group like we are doing at the global platform,through governments.all these efforts but together change for the better becomes inevitable.WHAT do you think?let us share ideas, well i think we can make it a little unity and we are good to go!!

It is so lovely that there are 31people from 6 countries coming together to take part in the global change course. These may be people from different countries BUT with a common cause how intresting ! i am so exited and can ‘t wait to learn lots of new things and share ´with the whole world to make it a better place for every one of us to leave in!
