hawah | October 20, 2009

Days are running….we started the Global change education in September and so far so good.COP 15 is coming in Dec.The 31 Youths from 6diffrent countries are really working hard to Get the Danish Government pay of their climate debt-6Billion DKK. 18 students already have moved to kenya to get the feeling of how climate change is affecting Africa and the rest have began activities for the Climate Debt Campaign. We are motivated and hopeful that we will achieve our goal in realising our Vision of seeing the world with climate justice and Global Justice.

How to go!!!!!Online Campaign

hawah | September 28, 2009

From fridays discussions.I am thinking really hard on how i can reach the government of Denmark and EU at large so that they can make good proposals for Climate change for the benefit of the whole world. However, many ideas are poping in my mind but am just inspired on how my blog can influence the government…..and its the fact that its a process in that communication is passed from one level to the other i.e my blog—->popular bolgs—->NGOs—–>Mainstream Media—–>Other Citizens —–>finally to the government.

You have a Voice

hawah | September 23, 2009

Women and children are mostly affected by the climate change. In Africa, women play a very big role in the society to bring up the children. most families in Kenya live in less than a $ a day making it very difficult to put a meal on the table.10 million people are starving and are in dire need of food. what can we do to fight climate change and poverty. the effects of climate change are harshly experienced in Africa…..the northern countries ought to pay their climate debt to africa to facilitate adaptation and mitigation processes. Africans should also re-plant trees and utilise the lakes by practicing irrigation farming…..what solutions do u have…..? you have a voice

Global warming is real

hawah | September 16, 2009

Global warming is a reality and we can only change the situation through working together towards finding the solutions to the problems facing the world. For instance Africa and in particular Kenya the issue of defforestation(Mau Forest) is crucial and our politicians should have the goog will to change by resettling the pple living in the forest and encourage the citizens to plant more trees. i guess we have already started feeling the consequences i.e Drought in many parts of the country, famine, effect on agriculture, conflicts and other effects/results.
