As we approach one of most important World’s seminars that will determine whether climate justice exists or not, we have to keep in mind that Climate changes will surely affect all of us. All parties have responsibilities to take in order for us to be able to combat climate change. We need strong leadership on climate change!!!

Its a great experience to be part of the world acting to acquire a change that is suitable and meant to change the world and make it a safer place to be. This year everyone, individuals, organisations, community groups and the world at large is focusing on ways to combat climate change. Events are being carried out all over the world in order to come up with possible and adequate measures of fighting climate change. Today, bloggers all over the globe have been posting articles on climate change as they commemorated the Blog Action Day ‘09 which is focusing on climate change. Am greatly inspired by my Global Change mentor, since she is really supporting the activities that we are doing and also participating in activities dealing with climate change. Wherever you are, take a moment and ask yourself on how you as an individual are going to be responsible and contribute to making climate changes a history. Action is the best asset that we have as human beings therefore, lets fight together since “two hands are better than one”

its a great move that young people are taking all over the world and i personally would like to thank all organisations who are engaging young people in their operations.. I would like to say that young people have the capacity to influence for change in our societies.. we are the best tools that can be used considering that the new generation is quite big in terms of mnumbers that should also be the case in action.. Just to share a bit, young people can engage in campaigns focusing on mitigation and adaptation measures in their respective countries, lobby governments to put the climate debt issues on the table for discussions in preparation for the COP15, lobby and educate communities to get involved in the battle against climate change.. we really have lots of actions to take as young people and I believe in the power of young people personally coz have seen tangible results and the potential in young people… Lets be climate agents and fight against climate injustice! Check out some of the works and ideas that young people are sharing at: globalchangenow.net

Its a great thing to realise that young people are joining hands with all nations to influence change within the communities we live in. Currently participants from the Global Change course (2009) are coming up with action plans for their campaign with regard to the COP15 summit to be held in Copenhagen in December 2009. Young people have been labelled as *people who are into violence, people who do not have visions, people without direction* but let me prove everyone who has that mentality WRONG today… Young people have a major role to play… young people are major tools of change, young people have the voice and young people can take this world to a better level… Youth are mobilizing themselves at different platforms regards ways of combating climate change, and I would like to applaud UNEP for engaging young people in their operations.. I believe the leaders herewith today will listen to the voices of young people which were released towards the upcoming COP15.. I trust that UNEP sees the potential that is hidden in young people hence the need for youth engagement.

Its an awesome thing to be a change-mover*** Participants (including myself) in the Global Change course participated in one of the World organised event, the *Wake-Up Call*. The event was held in Copenhagen, Denmark on the 21st of September 2009. The main objective of the *Wake-up call” flashmob events pressing our leaders to take action on climate. The Copenhagen Wake Up Call, climate change, was full of fun, exciting and I believe the call managed to have some impact on the leaders to get geared and start acting for a worthy cause..

I felt challenged to learn that Zimbabwean kids are also getting involved in the fight against climate change. Young children will be educated ion climate change and will be able to mobilize themselves and coordinate activities aimed at raising awareness on climate change.. The 2 is 2 much campaign is Zimbabwe’s part of a “Global Wake Up Call” to lobby this meeting.
We would like to see the best future in this world,,, till when will we continue making this world a catastrophe for the future generations to come.. If one could learn about how people in other parts of the world are being forced to vacate their homes e.g Newtork, Solomon Islands e.t.c it is so sad that there are some people who are still becoming ignorant about issues pertaining to climate change. It causes a lot of pain to see people suffering in different parts of the world yet some are enjoying…
Most nations are facing huge consequencies of climatic change conditions.. Everyone should keep in mind that it doesn’t need huge initiatives to make a change, a small initiative can contribute to the huge change.. There is need to combine efforts in the fight against climate change and the task begins with me as an individual then together we can make it.. I think its now high time when we put all personal, national differences behind us and focus on the pandemic that will soon destroy our lives and future..

The world we are living in today is transforming… Bit by bit but surely its taking another direction. Comparing what the world looked like in the 1960s and what is happening today leaves one at suspense since we do not know what tomorrow entails. What am talking about now are the changes that are taking places at all aspects, economically, politically and socially. High levels of conflicts are arising from all corners e.g people fighting over land issues, people killing each other because of money issues, employment, poor education systems within nations, honestly what will the future have in store for the future generations. We are slowly but surely destroying our future and the future of those who are yet to come.
As an individual have you sat down and asked yourself on what you can do in order to prevent the destruction we are causing today? Have you ever stopped and tried to reflect on the things that you are doing that are impacting negatively on your life and have you tried to come up with any solutions.. (Food for thought)
Dear fellows, this world needs you and me to join our hands… Climate injustice is untolerable and we should put our efforts together to stop it.. No matter what position you have wherever you are, no matter how rich or poor you are, no matter how qualified or uneducated you are, this is the time that we need each other for us to have a better place to live in.
People are dying due to floods, hunger, diseases e.t.c and what are we doing to prevent that from happening? Just sit and relax???? NO WAYS we have to stand up and fight such instances… Are we chosing to kill our own families and friends because of money, are we going to let our children not get adequate education because of wanting to get rich,,,, this is the time for us to think about ways of eradicating corruption in our areas for us to be able to achieve the set Millenium Development Goals,,,
It only needs you and me to join our hands together!
Together we can make a change!
